The Fish Stinks from the Head

I came to Florida in 1974. I got my real estate license, bought a cell phone had some business cards printed and VOILA,....I was a Realtor. I sold Beachfront properties in Pompano Beach. I couldn't sell an "inland" property "cause I couldn't justify the OVERPRICING of these homes. At least, on the Beach there was some value.

So, it kind of went like this:

Realtor#1: "I will list your home for $XXXXXXX.XX
Realtor#2: "I will list your home for $XXXXXXXXXX.XX

The fight for the OVERVALUED listings goes on only now more than ever.

The REALTORS were number 1 in creating this housing problem. THEY pushed housing prices to the limit and way above the limit. THEY created "the BUBBLE". Their GREED is second to none and yet THEY are getting a free ride from criticicism while our economy heads into the dumpster. A world wide RECESSION is in the offing because of this GREEDY AND IGNORANT group of UN-proffessional people. (PLUS,...after increasing the prices of properties 100% or more the DID NOT ADJUST THIER COMMISSION RATES. IS IT REALLY WORTH $20-$30,000.00 TO HAVE SOMEONE COME IN AND SAY,..."THIS IS THE LIVING ROOM AND THIS IS THE DINING ROOM"? I THINK NOT!)
We all know that Realtors have FAVORITE mortgage pals where they place their business. They give orders to the inspectors,..."WE WANT TO SELL THIS HOUSE; WE WANT A FAVORABLE INSPECTION",....and they may even get some sort of kickback from the morgage company. It's called VIGORISH !

So you see, "The Fish does stink from the Head." It doesn't begin to smell from the middle, it smells from the head to the tail.

I think that the REALTORS should be painted black along with the mortgage companies.
(Who, in their right mind would trust a Realtor today?)

AND HOW ABOUT THE FED? THEY ARE GOING TO BAIL OUT THE BANKING BUSINESS WITH TAXPAYER DOLLARS. AND WHO IS THE BANKING BUSINESS. THE BUSH FAMILY AMONGST OTHERS.

WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO BE SUBSIDIZED AS WELL???

At what cost, with what benefit???

This juicy morsel of news is from SECO, my energy company.
Many people believe that the use of fossil fuels for energy and transportation, and the resulting green house gases (GHG) that are produced, are driving us toward catastrophic "global warming". Our governor has proposed an ambitious GHG reduction plan for out state. (Florida(. We think that this plan is wrong for Florida and it;'s residents. The; pro0posed emissions caps will hurt our economy, jeopordize our eneergy independence, discourage new business and increase the cost of every kilowatt hour you use. With no significant benefit to the environment. The State will suffer a net loss of 295,566 jobs in 2020. Florida's GSP would be 1.0% lower. Total industrial ouput decreases 1.6% in 2020 and 4.2% by 2050.Florida's consumers will see higher energy prices soubling by 2035.

There is more, but I submit that THAT is enough.
Back off Guv, let's do a more pragmatic study or do you want to join the idiots that are supporting "corn for ethanol"? WE, those of us who read and inquire know what a fiasco that program is.

Luv to all,.......KERMIT

This is NOT American Idol

We have an important election coming up. The news media has slanted their commentary one way. FOR Barrak Obama and against Hillary Clinton. This, in my opinion, is wrong!

Credentials and experience are important to the nominees of the next Presidential election. If you like the credentials of John McCain, so be it. He is not being attacked as is Senator Clinton on the Democratic side. Admittedly, Senator Obama is an attractive young man who speaks with the conviction of a Baptist preacher,....but truth is he doesn't say much. He is full of cliches and metaphors but says very little. Mr. Obama does not have credentials or experience. He is a first term Senator who has voted "present" as much as he has voted "aye" or "nay." Is this the quality of a man that we want to try and lead us out of our present geo-political predicament .

I would say, NOT! I am a Democrat and with a heavy heart I say that if Obama is the Democratic nominee for president, my vote will go to John McCain.

A Scam on the American People

Do you really know the consequences of Ethanol from Corn? Allow me to enlighten you in a small way.

1) Ethanol costs more to produce than gasoline.
2) Ethanol mixed with gasoline is 27% less effective. (poorer gas mileage)
3) ETHANOL WILL RUIN YOUR AUTOMOBILE ENGINE.
4) Ethanol is subsidized. (More cost to the taxpayer)

Growing corn for "ethanol" is creating a food shortage and we have all noticed the huge increases in food prices. David Pimental, a leading Cornell University agricultural expert, has calculated that powering the average U.S. automobile for one year on ethanol, (blended with gasoline), derived from corn would require 11 acres of farmland, the same space needed to grow a years supply of food for seven people. Dr. Pimental concluded that "abusing our precious croplands to grow corn for an energy-INEFFICENT process that yields low-grade automobile fuels amounts to UNSUSTAINABLE SUBSIDIZED FOOD BURNING."

"IT TAKES MORE ENERGY TO MAKE ETHANOL FROM GRAIN THAN THE COMBUSTION OF ETHANOL PRODUCTS."

About 70% more energy is required to produce ethanol that the energy that actually is IN Ethanol. HMMM! Then why has Senator Bill Nelson,(Florida) and 23 other Senators supported a bill for Ethanol from corn?

Don't take my word for it; go to Cornell University News Service and read it for yourselves.

We, the American people are being SCAMMED,......AGAIN. WHO can we trust???
