A Scam on the American People

Do you really know the consequences of Ethanol from Corn? Allow me to enlighten you in a small way.

1) Ethanol costs more to produce than gasoline.
2) Ethanol mixed with gasoline is 27% less effective. (poorer gas mileage)
3) ETHANOL WILL RUIN YOUR AUTOMOBILE ENGINE.
4) Ethanol is subsidized. (More cost to the taxpayer)

Growing corn for "ethanol" is creating a food shortage and we have all noticed the huge increases in food prices. David Pimental, a leading Cornell University agricultural expert, has calculated that powering the average U.S. automobile for one year on ethanol, (blended with gasoline), derived from corn would require 11 acres of farmland, the same space needed to grow a years supply of food for seven people. Dr. Pimental concluded that "abusing our precious croplands to grow corn for an energy-INEFFICENT process that yields low-grade automobile fuels amounts to UNSUSTAINABLE SUBSIDIZED FOOD BURNING."

"IT TAKES MORE ENERGY TO MAKE ETHANOL FROM GRAIN THAN THE COMBUSTION OF ETHANOL PRODUCTS."

About 70% more energy is required to produce ethanol that the energy that actually is IN Ethanol. HMMM! Then why has Senator Bill Nelson,(Florida) and 23 other Senators supported a bill for Ethanol from corn?

Don't take my word for it; go to Cornell University News Service and read it for yourselves.

We, the American people are being SCAMMED,......AGAIN. WHO can we trust???

Not to mention the effect of corn-based ethanol on food prices. A majority of processed food contains corn in some form. Look at the price of corn at the supermarket. I'd say a buck-an-ear is piracy.

"DUMBASS GOVERNMENT REGULATION",....a perfect way to describe it. Why not write to your DUMBASS Senator bill Nelson and tell him what you think?
