John McCain/George Bush,..the same p.o.s.
I have just listened to our Republican nominnee for President, John McCain, and his projected accomplishments for his first term in office. (Yeah!, fat chance!)
I am one of those who have clearly stated that if Barrack Obama is the Democratic nominee for President, my vote would go to John. After listening to his pie in the sky comments, and his subtle Bush agenda messages, I would like to clearly state that: JOHN MCCAIN WILL BE MORE OF BUSH AND A FURTHER DETRIMENT TO THIS COUNTRY.
HE WILL NEVER GET MY VOTE. HE IS A HAWK, HE IS A NEO-CON AND, IN MY OPINION
WILL CONTINUE TO JEOPORDIZE WORLD PEACE.
His comments about: "working with countries that 'share our hopes", and a new "League of Demopcracies", lead me to believe that he will continue the violation of other countries in an effort to decide THEIR governments and try TO force our thinking upon them.
(Go ahead John, let's see you try that with China.) He is crazy, George Bush is crazy and the neo-con movement is the same as Hitlers approach to ruling the world.
George Bush's comments against Barrack Obama, (that he made in Israel), is unconscionable and should not have been made especially in Israel. But we all know that he is a jerk so what can we expect?
I don't have to remind you folks where we are; in the toilet both at home and abroad and this is because of George Bush and his thugs. If you want more of G.W. then McCain is your man. If you think that we really do need change then you must excercise your other option. I have complete faith that all Republicans are not stupid and will cast their vote for IMPROVEMENT. (Pardon me for shouting!)

The Brookings Institute
Yesterday. I had the opportunity to watch a program on CNBC offered by the Brookings Institute on "Alternative Energy and how the nation should handle it.
As you know, Brookings is a non-profit public profit organization based in Washington, D.C. and is one of Washington's oldest think tanks. Their stated mission is to "provide innovative and practical recommendations that advance three broad goals: stregnthen American Democracy, foster the economic and social welfare, Security and opportunity of all Americans and; secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system. They claim to be non-partisan.
PSHAW! WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL THOSE CLAIMS ARE. AND YES,...I AM SHOUTING!
Allow me to share with you what I heard. First, the reccomendation that: the gasoline tax should be increased by at least $1.00 more that it now is, and/or that our auto insurance companies should insure our vehicles by the mile. So much per mile so that the further you drive the more your insurance will cost you.
This is supposed to discourage unnecessary driving and conserve energy.
These comments from the mouth of: Jason Bordoff. Does that stike you as "fostering the economic and social welfare" of it's citizens? Does it stregnthen American Democracy? I think NOT! So I would say to Mr. Jason Bordoff,...your fired because you are full of shit. ( I wonder what his pay scale is???)
Another of the "gentlemen" that I place in the same category is: Mr. David Sandilow.
Oh, my,...he is cute and he crosses his legs and uncrosses his legs frequently and with a much practiced air,...but, his commentary is just as scewed. I apologize for not quoting some of his remarks but he said so much and in such a little space of time that I would be afraid of mis-quoting him. You will have to take my word for it that his remarks did NOT favor the citizens of this country but rather favored big business. AND KERMIT DOES NOT LIE!
The transcript of the program is probably available and worth the time.
If you do that I would appreciate your input as I'm sure I missed much of the negative remarks against the populace of this country. In the meantime there is NO RELIEF in sight for the high gas prices and congress is dancing around the issue without any intention of addressing the problems, real and imagined.
Good night and God Bless!

The Republocrats
The people have spoken. They say: "End the occupation in Iraq and bring our troops home." The Republocrats tune up the orchestra and give us, the gullible people, a song and dance. They have buzz words like: National Security, terrorists, axis of evil, our primary duty is to protect our homeland and other phrases that to this writer are simply worn out. This administration and this government, Republican and Democratic alike are masters of deceit and full of tricks. Now, they are discussing the funding of the Iraq occupation and what our responsibility is to the Iraqi people. Some argue that we must rebuild their schools, their mosques, their utilities, their roadways. After all, we did destroy them so we should rebuild them. Forgotten is the goal of our troops coming home,...and our men and women continue to get killed and maimed whilst our government dances around each issue. Meanwhile, fortunes are being made in Iraq by a select few whilst our citizens suffer at home with high oil prices and high inflation. We, the sheep, sit idly by and cry: "What can we do?" With an attitude of submission we can do nothing. I, on the other hand, am trying to get a block of 250 members of a "select" club of older men to sign a petition against the use of Ethanol made from corn. My arguments are based upon the facts given by Professor David Pimental of Cornell University. I have written to each of my Senators, to my Congressmen, to the Chair of the Dept of Energy in Washington D.C. and to several newspaper editors. The result of which is: nothing. I realized, finally, that one man in the field is not a warrior and more voters are needed to try to make these irresponsible s.o.b.'s listen. I wonder what would happen if each of us went to an organization and organized a petition for their pet peeve with Washington and sent it on. Would we then be heard?
Is it worth a try,? , or should we remain silent???
